Harvesting the notion of sense and sensibility, metaphorical aesthetics depict the battle between daily choices to preserve the planet or to comfortably proceed with life as we know it.
Hand-printing using the cyanotype process, a 19th century method that yields blue hues from a mixture of chemicals, reinforces the narrative of the newfound toxicity of our landscape. This age-old process strikes a contrast between this modern, yet permanent issue. Everyday objects such as salt, coffee and plastic bags are materialised to contribute to the concept.
