'Tainted' confronts the man-made landscape by analysing the present and future complications of the natural environment as a result of modern day living. Harvesting the notion of sense and sensibility, metaphorical aesthetics depict the battle between daily choices to preserve the planet or to comfortably proceed with life as we know it.

Hand-printing using the cyanotype process, a 19th century method that yields blue hues from a mixture of chemicals, reinforces the narrative of the newfound toxicity of our landscape. This age-old process strikes a contrast between this modern, yet permanent issue. Everyday objects such as salt, coffee and plastic bags are materialised to contribute to the concept.
